The New You: Made New For A Purpose
God did not make us new merely to improve our private lives. He made us new so His life could be revealed through us to others. We may be the only Jesus the world gets to see.
Key Points:
1. You are not who you used to be
Although we were once dead in sin and separated from God, His great love and mercy made us alive with Christ. Salvation is not something we earn through good works—it is God’s grace received through faith in Jesus.
2. You were made new for this season
In Christ, you have been raised with Him and given authority to live with His character, priorities, and strength. You are not meant to escape today’s challenges; you are anointed to overcome them. This is your season to excel in God’s purpose.
3. Your purpose is to impact people through good works
You are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do the good works He prepared for you. Every generation has a role: children can show kindness, young people can influence their schools, adults can represent Christ in business, seniors can mentor, pray, and impart wisdom, families can serve their neighbours, and the whole congregation can meet community needs. Often, the very problems we face position and prepare us for God’s purpose.
